In the latest episode of Forever Forward℠ at DFW, hear from American’s Chief
Operating Officer David Seymour as he explains how the airline’s reimagined
flight schedule at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is creating a
more seamless and consistent experience for customers and team members. With
greater certainty to schedules and connections and improved resilience during
disruptions like severe weather, the latest enhancements at DFW benefit
American’s entire network.
Outstanding early returns
Just two weeks since it launched, American’s new 13-bank schedule is
delivering strong results for the customers traveling to, through and from DFW
— which has a ripple effect across the entire airline:
- American is creating a more seamless experience, reducing congestion,
driving greater reliability and bolstering its operational resilience.
- On-time arrivals have significantly improved, which sets up the airline
to improve customer connections, driving down customer (and bag)
misconnects.
- Baggage performance at DFW is the best American has experienced all
year.
Banks — or the concentration of arrivals and departures
throughout the operating day — are the busiest periods at an airport.
American recently spread out the same number of flights, customers and
bags across more peaks, or banks.
Forever Forward℠ at DFW is American’s
new shortform video series that takes viewers behind the scenes of the
multiyear modernization across DFW. As American’s hometown airport and
largest hub, DFW hosts more passengers than any other airport in the airline’s
network. American is investing billions of dollars to modernize and strengthen
its flagship hub, delivering a much smoother experience for the airline’s
customers and team members, providing more certainty with their schedules and
connections, and improving DFW’s resilience to handle severe weather and other
disruptions.
Forever Forward℠ at DFW showcases the exciting updates customers will see
over the next several years and is part of American’s long-standing commitment
to Texas and the many communities in the airline’s network, bringing customers
along as milestones land.
