Supporting each other through their cancer journeys

In 2022, DFW-based Flight Attendant Catherine Harris received a devastating phone call: her mother was diagnosed with late-stage renal cell carcinoma. On the day of the diagnosis, Catherine found unexpected comfort in Feliciá Pratt, a fellow DFW-based Flight Attendant who happened to be working a flight with Catherine.

Feliciá founded Pink Christmas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting breast cancer survivors. Her advocacy is deeply personal — Feliciá lost her mother to breast cancer and her father to lung cancer on the same day, 11 years apart. During that flight with Catherine, Feliciá felt compelled to lend a helping hand as Catherine began to navigate a difficult journey.

What happened after that flight was a moment that marked the beginning of a friendship filled with support and connection.
