At the Aerospace Maintenance Competition, crews from around the world test their aircraft maintenance skills and knowledge in 26 different events. The goal? The fastest time, with the fewest mistakes. That may sound simple, but the competition is fierce — mere seconds separate the winners. This year, American Airlines sent teams from Tech Ops – DFW, Tech Ops – Tulsa and Tech Ops – DWH to compete against 51 other crews. Plus, American sponsored a student division team from Tulsa Tech and provided more than a million miles for student teams to travel to the competition. Here’s a peek at this year’s event, which was held April 24–27 in Orlando, Florida.
